UPTON BISHOP BIG DIPPER RACE 2008

 


Approx 5.64 miles

Sunday 28th September 2008 - Start 11.00am

Also fun runs for children of approx 400m [under 10yrs] and 800m [10-14yrs] Start 10.30am

This exciting new event is open to serious runners, determined novices and fun runners alike. The race is run entirely on small country lanes through picturesque Herefordshire countryside with views to the Malvern Hills. The course is undulating with testing hills at 0.5 mile, 2miles and 5 miles. The event will be well marshalled and signposted with mile markers and a drinks station around halfway.

There will be prizes for the leading ladies, gents and veterans with other spot prizes and a sports towel for all finishers.

The event is held on public highways and as such the organisers wish to point out that runners take part entirely at their own risk. The organisers cannot be held responsible for any injury, illness, accident or loss of property in conjunction with participation in this event.

Start/Finish and Race HQ
Upton Bishop Millennium Hall on the B4221 west of Crow Hill and just 2 miles from the M50 motorway junction 3. There is good off road parking on site, toilets and although there are no changing rooms, participants can use the village hall. Post race refreshments will be provided.
