PARISH COUNCIL

Extract of confirmed minutes of the meeting held on Monday 10th May 2010
Present: Cllrs. Bailey, Chalmers, Fray, Newman and Wallbridge
Apologies:  Cllrs. Forrester, Pokorny, Shenton and Cllr Durkin
In Attendance:  None
Chairman for 2009/10 – Robert Wallbridge 720414
Vice-Chairman for 2009/10 – Peter Fray 780383

Matters Arising:
Election of Officers:   Robert Wallbridge was elected as Chairman, Peter Fray as Vice Chairman and Allison Chalmers as Footpath Officer.
Housing Need – Concerns were raised by Cllrs that areas were being grouped together.  The Parish Council decided they would like specifics in the questionnaire that relate to Upton Bishop.  It was suggested that something is put in the Chimes regarding the Housing Needs Study, as the proposed land is not being used for the benefit of the parishioners.
Neighbourhood Watch – It was considered that something should be put into the Chimes about how this works within the parish in order to make parishioners more aware.  Wendy Powell will be asked to attend meetings on a quarterly basis.
Footpaths –  Cllr. Chalmers reported that the stile at Wobage Farm has still not been repaired. The Clerk confirmed that this had been reported to Herefordshire Council and she will chase this up.
Highways – Potholes – these have not been repaired satisfactorily within the parish.  Cllrs questioned whether the parish is within North or South Herefordshire.  The Clerk will make enquiries.
Lengthsman – The grass has been cut in and around the parish.
Planning: - Marsh Farm – Holmes Grove – Change of use of land – three log cabins for residential use.  Already discussed.  Objections raised.
Pear Tree House – Conversion of existing garage/workshop into 1 bedroom annexe.  No objections.
Date of the next meeting – 5th July, 2nd August, 6th September, 4th October,
1st November and 6th December 2010
